Thanks to everyone involved with putting our flags out at Veterans Memorial Park in Maple Plain!

Orono STRIVE is a program designed to pair community mentors with Orono high school students.

STRIVE is offered through a partnership between the Orono High School and Orono Rotary.  The program focuses on engaging students by providing encouragement and support to help students discover their own strengths and take charge of their education, career and goals. Mentoring occurs virtually once per month during the school day. If you would like more information about volunteering please contact Genna Torney at genna.torney@orono.k12.mn.us or 952-449-8338 X6350.

Many hands make light work...as directed by Orono Rotarian/Maple Plain Councilmember, John Fay and Maple Plain Mayor, Julie Maas-Kusske, a dozen-plus volunteers went to work Saturday and build upon the Veterans Memorial Park in Maple Plain.  Representation included Rotarians from Orono, Buffalo, Monticello, Plymouth and Minnesota Veterans!  It is the goal to have the memorial completed in time by Veterans Day, November 11th.
