Our third annual Veteran's Day celebration took place at Otten Brothers.  Though the skies were cloudy, it didn't deter the community from showing their support.   National Guard troops based in Monticello, MN, brought vehicles for young and old alike to admire.  The Orono Police and Long Lake Fire Department joined us with their vehicles.  American Legion Post 514 provided the color guard and flag ceremony.  The prayer was given by the Legion Chaplain and then Gary McPherson, Post Commander, said a few words.  Lieutenant Colonel Fred DuFault, Orono Rotarian and local resident, then gave a powerful keynote speech about the state of our military.  We were reminded to thank the veteran that you know and to pray for the active soldier and their family.
