Notice the Veterans Day events that Orono Rotary is sponsoring, thanks to Dave Shaughnessy's efforts.
This year Veterans Day marks the Armistice Centennial, 100 years since the end of WWI on the 11th hour of the 11th Day of the 11th month of 1918. That is a great reason for you to make the extra effort to participate in the remembrance this year.
Friday's event at the School and Sunday's event at Nelson Lakeside Park are both open to the public, so invite your family and friends.
