2014-15 Rotary Outbound Youth Exchange Calendar

Tuesday, Oct. 8th (7 pm)

Informational presentation for parents and prospective exchange students – Library Room 100 – Discovery Center in Maple Plain.  HIGHLY recommended for students applying this year and helpful for those thinking of applying in a future year.

Friday, Nov. 1st  (by 4 pm)

Completed applications due to the Orono Rotary Club – please drop off at the Orono Community Education Office in the Orono Education Link Building (center section of elementary schools complex). Attention: Melanie DeLuca.

Sunday, Nov. 3 

Interviews of prospective students & their parents.  At this time, a panel of Orono Rotarians will interview students and make recommendations as to which applicants will be sent forward to district level interviews.  

Tuesday Nov. 5

Prospective students learn if they are invited to the next level of interviews.

Saturday, Dec. 7 (8 am – 4 pm)

Country Fair and Rotary District level interviews held at Roseville Area Middle School.


Approx. Dec. 22 – Students are notified of acceptance to the program.

Mandatory Outbound Orientations for students selected – Roseville MS – 8:30 am – 3 pm

Saturday, Jan. 25, Saturday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, Apr. 12, 2014

Summer 2014 (mostly July or August) – Depart for exchange country – exact date varies by country
